On falls the longest night of the year As the winter solstice draws near A flash of flame; That countryman of winter, wood, and snow The weary traveler appears The red fox walks alone On a solitary roam Drawn by the forces of the sphere The winter may drag on, But the nights aren’t stretching longer than tonight Tonight… The sun, she hides her face, diminishing the day The fox stands sentinel to life’s undying strength We’re halfway through the dark, We’ve long and hungry nights to go Keeping watch while others sleep, The red fox waits Light of foot, he tiptoes through the vale The setting sun a fire on his trail Chasing echoes from the underworld A creature stirs below To survive is nature’s great travail He sets his face northeast, For a predatory feast, It’s blood for blood, a winter’s tale See him leap into the cold, white snow! The fox his vigil keeps, While the weary world is weeping in the night Waiting for light... Ooh, ooh-ooooh; ooh, ooh-ooooh The fox may have its den But not so the Son of Man The world won’t claim the little babe The one who came To offer blood and tears for them And so he weeps; and so we wait Til we know not when...

Coming back from the country Full of good food and lousy beer This winters so dry, the dirt roads so dusty At the lightest fall of rain, the bacteria blooms You don't have to be alone to lonesome It's easy to forget When sadness comes crashing like a brick through the window And it's Christmas and no one can fix it Tethered to a table with the happy holiday crowd And it's anchors away It looks like smooth sailing But the merest hint of waves could capsize you You don't have to be alone to lonesome It's easy to forget When sadness comes crashing like a brick through the window And it's Christmas and no one can fix it Your desire for annihilation is as common as it is unkind And it's hard to recognize the situation When you're desperately trying to have a good time You don't have to be alone to lonesome It's easy to forget When sadness comes crashing like a brick through the window And it's Christmas and no one can fix it

I have loved you ever since that day When I found out that you'd be my bride I was only a kid You were only a child But I'll love you until the end I was faithful, I always will be And I'll never love another girl 'Cause I follow the Law, Yeah I follow the Lord And I'll love you until the end You know I love you and I always will You know I love you and I always will Ever since I found out that you'd be my bride And I'll love you until the end Then I found out that you were with child And there was no way that it could be mine But I'll always be kind; I'll divorce you real quiet And I'll love you until the end Then an angel came to me in a dream And he told me not to be scared 'Cause you were still pure And the child was the Lord's The Holy Anointed One You know I love him and I always will You know I love him and I always will Ever since I found out that I'd be his dad And I'll love him until the end You know I love you and I always will You know I love you and I always will Ever since I found out that you'd be my bride And I'll love you until the end And I'll love you until the end And I'll love you until the end

about

NOTE - We do not intend on charging for this album. You can pay $1 to buy it now, but once it's actually released, the price will go to $0/pay-what-you-want.

We knew this album wouldn't be as big a production as last year's album. The idea came over the summer to do a smaller album with the Blue Christmas theme. We had a lot of fun working on it and hope you enjoy listening to it.
